Safeguarding Children

Penkvalley Academy Trust – Safeguarding Statement
At Penkvalley Academy Trust, safeguarding is our highest priority. We are committed to ensuring that every child in our first, middle and high schools is safe, supported and able to thrive. We believe that effective safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we work collectively to maintain the highest standards of care and vigilance across all our schools.
The Trust has a Director of Safeguarding who works across all settings to ensure that robust safeguarding practices, procedures and policies are consistently implemented. Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) from each school collaborate regularly to share best practice, monitor safeguarding arrangements and respond proactively to emerging needs.
All schools within the Trust follow current statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE 2025), and access local safeguarding information and support from Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Board.

Each school has its own safeguarding policy, tailored to its community, which can be accessed via their individual school websites. All Penkvalley Academy Trust schools use CPOMS to record and monitor safeguarding, welfare and pastoral concerns securely and effectively.
We remain unwavering in our commitment to safeguarding and to creating a culture where children feel safe, valued, respected and able to speak up.
If you require further information, including access to safeguarding and child protection information, then please go to the individual school websites.
